A city-funded program to grow startups and small businesses in lower income neighborhoods has opened doors to a newly remodeled coworking space in southeast San Diego.
The project, called Connect All at the Jacobs Center, has accepted 13 local startups — all led by minority founders or lower income individuals — in its first cohort. The startups get free office space for six months along with access to workshops, a network of mentors and help finding investment capital to grow their businesses.
